As you may already know, extra marital affairs in the US and the world has reached alarming rates. And it is not just the men who are straying, sigh.

From John Kennedy to Bill Clinton, American history is littered with lots of cases of infidelity among men, especially men at the top. That's not to say this is particular only to the US.

In ancient China, the Emperor usually has a bevy of concubines to "service" him and even today, Muslim men are allowed to take more than one wife.

Perhaps it is genetic -- a sort of program that is written into male genes that is a designed to ensure the survival of the human race. Just as in the animal kingdom. I guess David Beckham will agree with that ;)

But the tide seems to have turned and more women are getting into the fray.

Susan Shapiro Barash, a gender studies professor at Marymount Manhattan College, interviewed 120 women who cheated on their husbands and found that 90 percent of the cheating ladies she interviewed said they felt no guilt !

According to Barash, 65% of the cheating women she interviewed said the sex was better with a lover than with their husband. 45% of the women said they remained married despite their affairs.

So if your spouse (or boyfriend / girlfriend) is cheating on you, do you know how to handle it? Do you know how to say the relationship?
